A recent study conducted by Forrester Research has revealed that the field of delivery services in London might grow during the upcoming years as online shopping is creating a strong hold on the retail landscape. The study has foreseen that online shopping in UK will rise by 11 percent from the years 2011 to 2016.
Forrester Research, which is a technical consulting firm, observed that countries like Spain and Italy are lagging behind in comparison to UK in terms of online shopping. The analyst of the Forrester Research, Martin Gill, was of the opinion that a number of aspects encourage people to choose online shopping as it involves finding the best deals and discounts as well as cheap delivery options.
Almost 68 percent of the European respondents opined that the availability of cheap deals was the main reason for them to choose online shopping and 69 percent choose to shop online as it saves a lot of time. Mr Gill also noted that the way people use the internet shopping is getting too cumbersome due to m-commerce and f-commerce.
Recent results by a consumer behavior research company named Shopper centric shows that technology is altering the way of shopping in many different ways.

One of the most recent trends to hit online shopping networks is to provide tempting
offers to customers that expire at midnight. This has a lot to do with the state of the
customer's mind while reading the mail that brings the offer.

A recent study has shown that most marketing mails sent during the day are more likely
to go unnoticed than those sent during the evening when he/she is in a more relaxed
environment. If the customer can consider the offer at the time its well and good but
a little procastrination goes a long way. Since the deals expire at midnight there is an
increase in the chances of people buying goods under the influence of alcohol. This has
given rise to a new trend in online shopping: drunken online shopping.

A recent poll indicates that more and more British people indulge in online shopping
under influence and don't mind admitting it too. Although serving alcohol in high end
fashion stores is not a new thing, but the application of the same principle by online
shopping marketers certainly is a most revealing fact. More and more home shoppers are
being presented with quick decision offers that reach them in a relaxed state of mind, and
some tipsy clicks could do the rest of the job for them.

Online shopping has broken all records by growing by 15% and crossing the mark of USD 35 Billion. As compared to online shopping, retail sales grew only by 3.5%. In these increasing trends, not only bigger merchants of online shopping such as Amazon, Best Buy and eBay have earned profits, but smaller vendors offering online shopping also did well.

Amongst these online shopping merchants, there is an online community for animal lovers called AdoptAShelter.com. AdoptAShelter.com is an online platform of animal sellers and service providers in the health-care segment. The earning of this website in turn is contributed to the shelters, rescue groups and humane organizations that are the members of this website and strive to benefit animals. With the increase in the online shopping trend, the website endorsed about 400 top players and 350 rescue groups and shelters.

Considering that the number of consumers shopping online is forecasted to cross the mark of 200 million by 2015, AdoptAShelter.com is planning to increase the number of shelters and animal welfare organizations, buyers and web traders this year. By this expansion strategy, AdoptAShelter.com plans to reach to masses and make online shopping of animals more quality based and thus by large help the animals. What a noble idea indeed!

There is a tremendous rise in online shopping, but is it safe and secure?

Online shopping has become a hit with about 90% of the western world and the developing countries are fast catching on. However, with all the benefits of online shopping there still ligers concern. This concern is fuelled by a mid-January report of Zappos. The Amazon owned online retailer reveals that hackers have stolen the records of over 24 million of its online shopping customers. This occurred even though their credit card contents were encrypted in compliance with requirements enforced by Visa and MasterCard. Cryptographically scrambled passwords have also been hacked.

Zappos has sent its online shopping users an e-mail to change their passwords and beware of phishing e-mails or telephone scams. This is because as the online shopping clientele increases more data will be captured online, encouraging hackers to
steal more information.

Although online retailers are responsible for the data of its users, consumers too need to be vigilant. Cybercriminals prey on consumers using simple passwords says Stina Ehrensvard, CEO of Yubico, an authentication device maker. Hence, passwords need to have better strength. Another solution to safe and secure online shopping is to use a secondary e-mail address for less secure transactions. It can have a different password than used for banking or credit card management purposes. The quick checkout option on the online shopping websites can also be opted for because less information is saved on it.

Apple is taking online shopping up a notch by patenting it with its voice based software called Siri. We all know that Siri is known for its wonderful capabilities as a voice assistant, which sends an SMS on dictation or provides a list of driving directions when asked for. But with the intensity of emerging technologies in today's times, the day is not very far when Siri could become outdated and obsolete. Looking ahead, Apple has made Siri a more useful product by patenting online shopping through voice. With this patent, Siri could be used for online shopping of products such as books, DVDs, music and others. One can now also shop online for all applications on the App Store using this mode.

In future, one can also expect a filtering mechanism in Siri with which it would suggest the user an outlet with the lowest price or the fastest shipping. Apart from this, it would also probably alarm the user against purchasing a poor quality product. After the patenting of online shopping in Siri, Apple has opened the floodgates for various debates over how other voice assistant apps would react to compete with this. For now, Siri with its new online shopping feature has all the thumbs up.

Gone are the days when people in search of holiday gifts and exciting sales offers, queued up outside closed shutters of retail outlets to be the first to grab the best deals. Fervent shoppers of the last generation have found themselves braving cold weather and irritable fellow shoppers, as they thronged the popular outlets. We were also not as lucky as the kids of today and remember looking longingly at the toy store catalogs, with the hope, that our parents remembered to carry the same to the mall while shopping gifts for Christmas.

Online shopping has given rise to an attractive alternative which has erased the nasty experiences of the past. With each passing day newer marketing techniques are adding more and more attractive offers, discounts schemes, codes and redeemable coupons such as the online Coupons through Rewardit, that brings great offers and savings into our inboxes. Brick and mortar stores have accepted the popular trends of online shopping and are creating a virtual presence on the web to access global cliental. This has created a big paradigm shift in the shopping strategies of the buyers and sellers alike.

Convenience is the major advantage while indulging in online shopping as the web stores are open 24/7 throughout the year. Time zones and distances across boundaries have ceased to exist in this global village as International brands rub shoulders with the local ones. It goes without mention that payment hassles, communication issues, costs of travelling to the malls, interaction with the retailers and other in store shopping problems have all undergone a sea change. Customers are now thoroughly enjoying their shopping experiences from the comfort of their homes

Online shopping is here to stay. So the next time you receive those attractive coupons offering freebies and super discounts, don't be wary of going online and checking out the wonderful offers that can make your day.

Don't purchase any old computer. Save wads of cash by shopping for your new PC online. Utilizing the internet to do your shopping will let you find deals, refurbished computers, and even computers for sale on auctions. Many of these PCs will go for a lower price than what you would see in stores. However, it is important to know what type of computer you are looking for when shopping online. This bit of information alone will help you save money.

Not all RAM is created equal

Technically speaking, all RAM is actually equal. But, the major difference is price. Depending on the brand you choose, you can purchase RAM at a cheaper price. Less expensive RAM helps lower the price of your computer. Most people believe that expensive RAM will last longer. Actually, it is hard to tell when a stick of RAM will suddenly quit. Use your best judgment when choosing the RAM of your choice.

Mid or full-size tower?

Now this is a very simple way to save money on your new PC, especially if you are building your own unit. Don't spend gobs of money on a computer case, or tower. Many computer towers come with lights, LED interfaces and other cool features. But, they aren't really necessary if you are just doing everyday tasks on your computer. Of course, for a serious PC builder, if you need an ATX full-size tower, then you'll want to get a good, sturdy tower. But, if you're just building a simple unit, go for an ATX mid-size tower. The more plain the tower, the less expensive it will be.

Unsure of what to get?

This is a very good point to consider. For example, if you do a lot of traveling, it wouldn't make much sense to purchase a desktop PC. Instead, getting a laptop would be better. The best part of purchasing a laptop is hitting up a laptop sale. Browse the latest deals by using one of the shopping comparison sites. They'll present you with the best deals, technical specs and extras for laptops.

Read forums, reviews and ratings

You'll find it is very helpful to check into what other people say about a specific computer while you're shopping online. For example, you may find a computer that fits all your need, but the price is either too good to be true, or too much. Read the reviews to see if the computer is worth it. Computers with reviews and ratings from users, who have experience with the specific computer, are the best.

Shopping online has helped people everywhere save tons of money on various purchases, especially computers. You may also find it helpful to find online coupons, or coupon codes to apply to your purchase. Sign up for a company's newsletter to receive specials in your email inbox.
