When Ben Gutteridge was 12 he worked as a magician, that is until he set alight to his sister and was banned by his mum.
Film replaced magic tricks and after living in Spain for 5 years, directing commercials for their leading agencies, Ben recently moved back to London for the food and weather.
His background in editing and writing accompanied by a cinematic eye and natural rapport with actors lend him towards storytelling, but comedy and aesthetic are also part of his repertoire.
For Ben, every film, whether a spot, promo or drama is unique and so should be made from scratch, no formulas and always with the appropriate technical elements that best support the idea. He has a penchant for surreal comedy and moody tension.
